This clay softener improves the texture of dry, crumbly clay, creating the perfect consistency. Adding a few drops of this liquid and thoroughly kneading it into your clay makes it soft and subtle, ready for use in your clay and jewellery projects. If you find you've added to much liquid, press the clay between paper or paper towels and apply pressure to absorb excess softener. Also works great to thin out Liquid Sculpey if it gets too thick.
Details:
- 1 fl. oz. (30 mL)
- Twist cap for precise flow control
- For use with oven bake clay

Just purchased and WOW!
I thought my clay was trash worthy - I had a whole drawer full of clay that although not old was so crumbly it was unable to be conditioned at all- I worked hurs trying to save it because it would be such a waste to give up and throw it all away- waste of money big time!. I decided to get the sculpey clay softener and after just a few drops and working it into the clay, letting it rest adding a few more drops. I put it in a zip lock over night and them tried conditioning by manipulating by hand and then used the pasta machine and my clay is fantastc and usable- this saved so much money

This is essential….
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Essential to reviving dry clay. Not just from your own stash but sometimes what is shipped online from various retailers doesn’t come is as the freshest.

Highly recommend for dry crumbly clay
Works great!! I had some really crumbly clay that was falling apart so I added one drop at a time, for a total of only 2 drops and it totally restored my clay to the perfect consistency.

Sculpey® Liquid Clay Softener
I have been collecting polymer clays for years and some of it is now OLD. Polymer clay artists recommend this to soften hardened clay. SOMEDAY, I am going to steal a day to sit down, play, and create minis for my dollhouse people. I have made simple fruits, flowers, veggies, and dishes so far but want to increase my skill level.

Saved the day!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I found this and thought I'd try to save my clay reserves that I haven't had time to work with in quite a while. It saved me from tossing it all out and having to start again.

A little dab will do it!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] You can never be certain if your clay will condition well when you open a package...often due to how old it is. So I bought this and it is amazing! My once dry and brittle clay came together and conditioned beautifully! And a tiny bit goes a long way, so the product lasts a long time.

A must have
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The softener is a must have at all times! Sometimes clay dries out, it happens. This gives the drier clay new life. I used to try really hard to condition it back to life, but that's a lot of work for no reason. Have this on hand, it will absolutely come in handy at some point.
