The medium/smooth texture surface is perfect for use with acrylic and oil paints, and the frame is professionally constructed. The medium-weight cotton duck is stretched around 3/4" profile kiln-dried stretcher bars and held in place with a flexible spline, so artists can paint on all four edges.

Mostly great, slight imperfections.
I generally really like these canvases. The deep gallery wrap looks great and more professional, they're tight, and have a good surface. Sometimes I'll get one with a small dent in the frame/border, so they're better picked out in person in my opinion.

I wanted to order artwork for two rooms and as I was looking at the prices, I realized, hey wait a minute, I can do that! and cheaper than what I am seeing on line. To Michael's I went to get the canvas that I needed for my vision. I already have the paint! so easy peasy. Michaels has assorted sizes to chose from as well as levels of cost depending on what you want to do and spend.

Great value for the money. I use these for plein air painting. They are very convenient. Some are a little off square, so check this if it’s important to you. They benefit from a few extra layers of gesso if you want a smoother surface.
