Description
Winton is a traditional range of oil colours, made from moderately priced pigments, formulated for student and amateur artists or more accomplished painters requiring large volumes of colour within moderate cost limits. A high level of pigmentation provides good covering power and tinting strength. While it can't match the superior pigment load of Winsor & Newton Artists' Oil Colour, the Winton range is much stronger than many other artists' quality ranges. Winton uses moderately priced pigments rather than lessening the pigment content to an unacceptable level.

An artist must have pigment.
Cerulean blue, in conjunction with ultramarine blue, represent both the warm and cool temperatures in most of my paintings. They both also mix well with Winsor Newton's soft mixing white for holding those warm and cool moments. It's interesting how luminosity, when used naturally in the theme of your painting, can intensify the emotions. Cerulean blue is a must in a painting wanting emotion. Windsor and Newton have created an exceptional product.
