Step 1

Cut 8" [20.3 cm] wire.

Step 2

Make a simple loop on one end and wire wrap the tail just below the loop.
TIP: To form a simple wire loop, first bend the wire to a 90° angle about ½" [1.27 cm] from one end of the wire. With your round nose pliers, grasp the wire at the bend and use your chain nose pliers to bring the wire end around the bottom barrel of your pliers to form a loop. Continue to bring the wire around so it is perpendicular to the wire below the loop you just formed. Wrap the tail around the wire a few times and trim any excess. Smooth the wrapped wire end flush against the working wire.

Step 3

Add 20 beads, your charm, then 20 more beads.

Step 4

Repeat Step 2 so the wrap sits on top of the last bead.

Step 5

Shape the wire into a teardrop-oval shape so the charm is in the middle.

Step 6

Open a jump ring, add the loop at the bottom of a fishhook ear wire and the two loop ends of the beaded wire, then close the jump ring.
TIP: To open and close a jump ring, simply grasp the jump ring on both sides with chain nose pliers and twist the ring open from side-to-side. Never pull the jump ring which can cause distortion.

Step 7

Repeat Steps 1-7 for second earring.
