Step 1

MEASUREMENTS: Approx 74” [188 cm] wide x 21 1/2” [54.5 cm] deep.

GAUGE: 14 sts and 28 rows = 4” [10 cm] in garter stitch

SPECIAL STITCH(ES) EXPLANATION(S):
Kfb (Knit Front Post): Increase 1 stitch by knitting into front and back of next stitch

NOTES:
Piece is worked back and forth on circular needles to accommodate the growing number of stitches.
Move center st marker each row as work progresses.

Step 2

INSTRUCTIONS:
Cast on 1 st.
Row 1: (RS). (K1. yo. K1) all in same stitch. 3 sts.
Row 2: Knit.
Row 3: (Kfb) twice. K1. 5 sts.
Row 4: Knit.
Row 5: (Kfb) 4 times. K1. 9 sts.
Row 6: Kfb. K3. Sl1Pwyif. PM on last st for center. Knit to last 2 sts. Kfb. K1.
Row 7: Kfb. Knit to 1 st before marker. Kfb. K1 (center). Kfb. Knit to last 2 sts. Kfb. K1.
Row 8: Kfb. Knit to marked st. Sl1Pwyif. Knit to last 2 sts. Kfb. K1.
Rep last 2 rows for pat until work across longer side measures approx 74” [188 cm], ending on a RS row.
Cast off loosely knitwise (WS).
