Step 1

MEASUREMENTS: Approx 66" [167.5 cm] long x 21" deep [53.5 cm]

GAUGE: 12 sc and 13 rows = 4" [10 cm], take time to check your gauge

SPECIAL STITCH(ES) EXPLANATION(S): 

  • Bobble: (Yoh and draw up a loop. Yoh and draw through 2 loops on hook) 5 times in indicated st. Yoh and draw through all 6 loops on hook
Step 2

INSTRUCTIONS:

Notes: Ch 3 at beg of row counts as dc.
Ch 4 at beg of row counts as tr.
All sts worked in back loops only.
Ch 4.
Row 1: (WS). 2 dc in 4th ch from hook. Turn. 3 dc.
Row 2: Ch 5. Bobble in 4th ch from hook. Sl st in next ch and back loops only of each of first 2 dc. Ch 3. 1 dc in same sp as last sl st. (1 dc. 1 tr) in last dc. Turn. 4 dc.
Row 3: Ch 4. Working in back loops only, 1 dc in first st. 2 dc in each of next 2 dc. Turn. Leave rem st unworked. 6 trsts.
**Row 4: Ch 5. Bobble in 4th ch from hook. Sl st in next ch and back loops only of each of first 2 dc. Ch 3. Working in back loops only, 1 dc in each dc to last 3 sts. 2 dc in each of next 2 dc. (1 dc. 1 tr) in last st. Turn.
Row 5: Ch 4. Working in back loops only, 1 dc in first st. 2 dc in each of next 2 dc. 1 dc in each dc to last dc. Turn. Leave rem st unworked. Turn.
Rep Rows 4 and 5 rows until Shawl across longest edge measures approx 65" [165 cm], ending on Row 5.
Next Row: (RS – Bobble Row). Ch 5. Bobble in 4th ch from hook. Sl st in next ch and back loops only of each of first 3 dc. *Ch 5. Bobble in 4th ch from hook. Sl st in next ch and back loops only of each of next 3 dc. Rep from * to end of row. Fasten off.
