Step 2 |
Trace the pattern onto a piece of rigid cardboard. Cut out the shape. |
Step 3 |
Wrap the entire cardboard shape with red yarn. When you are happy with your wraps, cut yarn from the skein, then tie the end in the back to secure. Tuck in ends. |
Step 4 |
Tuck in and glue red feathers onto the bird's head and tail. Let dry. |
Step 5 |
Trace the face pattern onto black construction paper and cut out the shape. Glue it onto the bird's head. |
Step 6 |
Cut out a small orange triangle for the bird's beak and glue it into place. |
Step 7 |
Finally glue on a small wiggle eye. Let dry. |
