You're new to the skills necessary to complete this project, or maybe you've tried them just once or twice before.
tissue paper butterfly
Use your imagination and get crafty with paper. Just add some paint, marker and glue and the sky’s the limit!
Step 1 |
Draw the shape of a butterfly onto black cardstock and cut out the shape. |
Step 2 |
Cut tissue paper into roughly 1" [2.5 cm] squares. |
Step 3 |
Take a square of tissue paper and place the eraser of a pencil in the centre of it, then wrap the tissue up onto the pencil. Now, dip the tissue into the glue, then press it onto one of the butterfly’s wings. Repeat this process until both wings are covered. Let dry. |
Step 4 |
Cut two antenna for the butterfly from a chenille pipe cleaner and glue to the butterfly's head. Let dry. |
Step 5 |
To make a hanger for the butterfly, bend a chenille pipe cleaner slightly and glue each end to the back of each wing. Let dry. Share your project photos with #MakeItWithMichaels |
