standing paper rainbows
These cute paper rainbows are a great addition to a party, a classroom or anywhere you want to add a whimsical touch. You can even turn them into placecards by adding a name to the clouds!
Step 1 |
Click here for the design in Cricut® Design Space™. |
Step 2 |
Click ‘Make It’ in the upper right corner of your screen. |
Step 3 |
Now, click ‘Continue’ in the bottom right corner of your screen and choose the correct material. |
Step 4 |
Place the cardstock onto your cutting mat. Load the mat into your Cricut® machine, then press the blinking Cricut® icon to start cutting. |
Step 5 |
Next, carefully peel the strips and clouds from the mat. Continue to cut additional strips to make a rainbow. |
Step 6 |
Line up the strips in your hand in rainbow order and staple one end. Then, line up the other end of the strips and staple to make the rainbow shape. |
Step 7 |
Take the extra purple strip and fold the ends in about ¼" [0.6 cm] and glue to the inside, bottom of each side of the rainbow. This will allow the rainbow to stand up and will also help to retain the arc shape. |
Step 8 |
Glue the clouds to the bottom, front of each side of the rainbow. Share your project photos with #MakeItWithMichaels |
