This project is intended for kids ages 6+. Kids will have fun making their own snowman stocking. Created with felt and some wiggle eyes, this cute snowman stocking will look great on your mantel!

Print Project

Step 1

First, click here to download and print the template; then cut out the pattern pieces.

Step 2

Trace the stocking pattern onto both white felt pieces and cut out the shapes. Glue the two pieces together but leave the open.

Step 3

Trace the hat pattern onto black adhesive felt and cut out the shape. Remove the paper backing and stick across the top for your snowman's hat.

Step 4

Cut a narrow strip of red felt to make a band for his hat and glue it on, near the bottom, of the hat.

Step 5

Cut a strip of red felt to make the snowman's scarf and glue it on near the bottom of the stocking. Cut slits across bottom edge of the scarf for fringe.

Step 6

Cut an orange thin triangle from orange felt and glue it on to the centre of the stocking for his nose.

Step 7

Now, glue on some wiggle eyes.

Step 8

Finally, if you wish to make a loop to hang your stocking, cut a narrow strip of white felt from your scraps and glue it to the top, left corner of the stocking. Let dry.
