rolled paper flower art
Step 1 |
Paint the entire canvas panel light blue and let dry. |
Step 2 |
Now, make the flowers. You will need five to seven rolled paper petals for each. To make a petal, measure and cut a piece of construction paper ½" x 12" (1.27 cm x 30.48 cm). Begin at one end and roll the paper strip up and use your glue stick to adhere the end to the roll. Make four to six more petals from the same paper, then make one roll for the middle from yellow paper. Repeat for more flowers in assorted papers. |
Step 3 |
Cut a piece of green construction paper about 4" x 9" (10.16 cm x 22.86 cm) for grass and glue it onto the canvas lining it up at the bottom. |
Step 4 |
Free-hand cut some clouds from white construction paper to adhere to the sky. |
Step 5 |
Now, glue the flower petals onto your painted canvas. Lay them in place in a circle with the yellow roll in the middle of the flower before attaching to the canvas. Once you like how your flower looks, use the school glue to attach each petal into place. Repeat this for your other flowers. |
Step 6 |
Lay a green chenille pipe cleaner from the base of each flower. Cut the chenille pipe cleaner to the length you need for each one. Glue into place. |
