pony bead pencil backpack tag
Step 1 |
Separate the letters for your backpack tag. |
Step 2 |
Measure and cut 48" [121.92 cm] of lacing. |
Step 3 |
Slide three pink pony beads to the centre of the lace. Next, fold the right lace to the centre and string on three more pony beads. Arrange them so they are aligned below the first three pony beads. Fold the left lace and thread through this same second row of pink pony beads. Pull gently to tighten and secure. |
Step 4 |
Repeat Step 3 for two rows of three black pony beads. |
Step 5 |
Choose a new colour of pony bead and repeat Step 3 for eight rows. To add a name, add a letter between two pony beads in the first row. Continue adding letters in the centre until name is spelled, then use three pony beads per row. |
Step 6 |
Repeat Step 3 to add a row of three black pony beads, then a row of two black pony beads and finally a row with one pony bead. |
Step 7 |
To finish the backpack tag, tie a square knot. Use the remaining lace to tie the tag to your backpack. Share your project photos with #MakeItWithMichaels |
