Step 1

SIZES: Men’s Small (Large)
FINISHED MEASUREMENTS:
- Hat Circumference = 20 (22)” [51 (56)cm]
- Length = 9 (9½)” [23 (24)cm]
GAUGE: 12 sts x 16 rows = 4” [10 cm] in pattern; save time and check your gauge
STITCH GUIDE:
- Beaded Ribbing multiple of 2 sts
 - Rnd 1: Knit.
 - Rnd 2: *K1, p1; rep from * around.
 - Rep Rnds 1-2 for pattern.

Step 2

INSTRUCTIONS:
Hat
With MC cast on 60 (66) sts.
Place marker and join to work in the rnd, being careful not to twist sts.
Setup Rnd: *K1, p1; rep from * around.
Join CC. Begin working in Beaded Ribbing. Work [2 Rnds CC, 2 Rnds MC] twice.
Cut MC.
Continue in CC working in Beaded Ribbing until Hat measures 5½ (5¾)” [14 (14.5)cm], ending with Rnd 2 of pattern.

Decrease Section – All Sizes
Note: During Shaping continue to work in Beaded Ribbing keeping sts in pattern when possible.
Rnd 1: *K10 (11), place marker; rep from * 5 more times.
Rnd 2: *Work to 2 sts before marker, k2tog; rep from * 5 more times – 6 sts dec’d.
Rnd 3: Knit.
Repeat Rnds 2-3, 4 more times – 30 (36) sts.
Repeat Rnd 2, 4 (5) times – 6 sts.
Cut yarn and thread tail onto tapestry needle and draw through remaining sts.

Finishing: Weave in ends.
