Poor concept
I thought these would be better than the little plastic safety pin markers because they would hold more yarn and be easier for my elderly mother to use, but instead they were hard for even me to use. The safety pins only let you slide the clip in one direction to close, but because these don't have a stop they are difficult to position just right so they stay closed. It is hard to describe. I recommend the safety pin style or any other style closure instead, as these are not a good design.

Look great, a little clunkier to use than expected
These look great and I thought they would be as good as the ones that look like safety pins but it is hard for me to get them open enough to easily slide the yarn over the tip. They close nicely but are just going to take some extra time to slip the yarn into the clip.
