Rated 5 out of 5 by from Useful acrylic finish Krylon makes a variety of acrylic spray finishes for hobby purposes, ranging from an almost dead matte (Matte Finish #1311) to a hard and protective gloss. This wide variety of finishes gives the hobbyist a spray finish for almost any purpose. There may be some more expensive specialty finishes that provide better coverage, better protection, or a more matte finish than the Krylon brands, but the Krylon products suit my purposes at a much lower price. With the rise in inflation since 2021, even the Krylon products are much more expensive than they once were, but particularly coupled with a Michaels discount coupon they are a bargain for hobbyists.
