kids clay peppermint photo holder
This project is intended for kids ages 4+.
Step 1 |
Knead white clay in your hands for a few minutes, then roll it into a ball. |
Step 2 |
Use the roller from your tool set to flatten the ball. Roll it until it is smooth and fairly thin. |
Step 3 |
Now, use the cutting knife from your clay tool set to cut 1" [2.5 cm] strips. |
Step 4 |
Repeat Steps 1-3 with red clay. |
Step 5 |
Layer 4-5 strips, alternating white and red. |
Step 6 |
Cut the ends so they are even. |
Step 7 |
Roll the strips until you reach the desired size. Cut any excess from your roll. |
Step 8 |
Cut a chenille pipe cleaner in half and set one half aside for another photo holder or a future project. |
Step 9 |
Coil one end of your chenille pipe cleaner half a few times then push the straight end through the top of your rolled clay. |
Step 10 |
Set in a safe place to dry for at least 24 hours. |
