holiday resin earrings

UV resin is ready to use and instantly cures hard in minutes with a UV light. Add a mix of sparkly glitter and a metal element from the mega pack of fillers for a stunning pair of DIY earrings!
Step 1

Cut a 2" [5.1 cm] piece of heat resistant tape. Be careful to keep the tape free of fingerprints and debris.

Step 2

Place two of the rectangle charms onto the tape. Smooth the tape against the back of the charm to make sure it is well bonded.

Step 3

Pour just enough resin into a silicone cup and add a mix of Gold, Silver and AB White glitter; then mix well with a craft stick (included with the mixing kit).

Step 4

Pour enough glittery resin into each charm to fill about the bottom half.
TIP: Prop the charms on a craft stick so the glittery resin stays in the bottom half.

Step 5

Set your UV lamp over the charms and heat.
TIP: Make sure your UV resin bottle is set away from the lamp, so it doesn’t set!

Step 6

Now, pour a few drops of UV resin in the top area of each charm, just enough to cover the bottom surface.

Step 7

Repeat Step 5, but only let it heat from about 30 seconds or so.

Step 8

Use your tweezers to add a metal star (or other element) to the top section.
TIP: It should be set in the charm where it appears upside-down as the front of the charm is facing your working surface.

Step 9

Fill the rest of your charms to the top with UV resin, then repeat Step 5.
TIP: If needed, heat the resin for another lamp cycle.

Step 10

Remove the tape.

Step 11

Carefully open the loop at the bottom of fishhook earring, thread it onto the loop of one charm and close the loop. Repeat for second earring.
