french chateau wispy wreath
Step 1 |
Cut the stems off the bushes as close to the base as possible leaving the longest stem. If they need to be cut shorter as you build the wreath you can do so at that point. |
Step 2 |
Plan out your wreath by laying the larger blooms in place, then add the small wispy blooms and the greenery. Take a photo once you like your plan and use it as a guide to build the wreath. |
Step 3 |
Now, wire in the larger blooms. Bend the stems so they do on lay flat, establish how tall you would like them to stand out to create this wispy look and trim the stem to that length. Use floral wire to securely attach the end of the stem to the wreath hoop. Repeat this for all the larger blooms. |
Step 4 |
Next, wire in the greenery. Establish the stem length needed and trim. Tuck under the focal blooms and wire the ends to the base. Fluff the greenery so it too looks very wispy. |
Step 5 |
Add the smaller wispier flowers. Trim the stems as needed and wire the ends to the wreath form. Bend the stems so they stand up and around the larger blooms with an airy look. |
Step 6 |
Hold up the wreath and make sure you have wired everything in well, then use some hot glue to reinforce or add little berry flowers to compliment the overall wreath. |
