floral card with alcohol ink background
Step 1 |
On a piece of the YUPO® paper, use the alcohol inks and blending solution to create a background.
|
Step 2 |
Now, if desired, add ink or blending solution to the applicator tool and touch it to the paper to further alter the look. When you are happy with your background, let it dry completely. |
Step 3 |
To make a print of the background, which will result in a softer, more subtle look, use re-inker. Squeeze out a line of re-inker across one end of the card. Use your brayer to spread the re-inker over the background so there is a thin layer over the entire piece. Take a piece of the white cardstock and lay it over the background. Press the cardstock to the background and rub your hand over the back in order to get a good impression on your cardstock. Lift the cardstock off and set it aside to dry. |

Step 5 |
Use your Cricut® machine to cut out leaves from white cardstock. Peel the flowers from the mat and set aside. |
Step 6 |
Trim the background print to fit the front of your card leaving a border all the way around. Adhere to the card front. |
Step 7 |
Adhere the die cut leaves to the card. |
