Step 1 |
First, trim your flower stem so it fits in your mould. |
Step 2 |
Now, put on a pair of gloves and mix resin with a 1:1 ratio of resin and hardener in a disposable cup, as directed on the package. Mix enough to cover about a third of your mould. |
Step 3 |
Separate your mould into its two halves. Set the top half aside for now. |
Step 4 |
Fill the bottom of your mould about a fourth of the way, then add your flower, facing down. Pour in the rest of your resin to fill the bottom half of your mould. Let set for about 12 hours. |
Step 5 |
Put on a pair of gloves and mix more resin as you did in Step 2. This time prepare enough to fill the rest of your mould. |
Step 6 |
Fit the top half of your mould to the bottom half. Make sure the two halves are sealed together at the seam. |
Step 7 |
Pour your resin into the mould through the hole at the top. |
Step 8 |
Set aside to cure overnight (at least 12 hours). It is fully cured in 72 hours. |
Step 9 |
De-mould your paperweight. |
