Cable-knit sweaters always remind us of cold winter days. So why not add a little cable-knit to your tree with these easy DIY ornaments!

Print Project

Step 1

Open a small embroidery hoop and set a piece of the cable-knit ribbon across the inside hoop piece. Close the hoop and tighten.

Step 2

Trim the excess ribbon around the back of the hoop.
TIP: If the cable-knit is hard to trim closely, use a small amount of hot glue to secure to the back so it isn't seen from the front.

Step 3

Cut a piece of ribbon cording to use as an ornament hanger. Tie it to the metal piece at the top of your embroidery hoop.
TIP: To help reduce the fraying of the cording, add a dab of hot glue to each end.
