dried grass wall wreath
Step 1 |
Working on a large table, lay the raffia wreath upside down. Glue the back raffia fringe to the metal wreath form to help support the long grass when it’s hung on a wall. |
Step 2 |
Turn the raffia wreath form over so the good side is facing up. Lift the top layer of raffia fringe and glue the first grass layer. |
Step 3 |
Establish the length of grass blades you want to use and this will be the length you use for the entire wreath. Trim the grass to that length and hot glue the cut area to the inside of the wreath. Hold the grass in place until the hot glue hardens. Repeat for all the blades of grass and be sure to keep them evenly distributed. |
Step 4 |
Now, add the blue shade of grass and repeat the gluing of each blade. |
Step 5 |
Next, add the blue wild oats. Again, under the first layer of the raffia and on top of the glued grasses, you will cut the oats shorter and glue on top of the grass layers. Repeat around the wreath. |
Step 6 |
Push the top layer of raffia fringe down to cover the glued area. Take a photo of the wreath and look for any inconsistencies. Make adjustments needed, then glue the top layer of raffia over the glued grasses and oats. |
