crystal chandelier earrings
Create stunning chandelier earrings in gorgeous, clear crystal! These earrings would make a wonderful bridal set, but also perfect for any occasion.
Step 1 |
Place a 4mm bicone crystal onto a headpin. Fold the pin 90°, close to the top of the bicone. Trim the wire to ¼" [0.6 cm] using flush cutters. Using round nose pliers, roll the wire forward into a loop on top of the bicone. Make ten. |
Step 2 |
Slide four bicone crystals onto an eye pin. Fold the remaining wire of the eye pin forward 90° over the top bicone. Trim to ¼" [0.6 cm]. Use round nose pliers to roll the wire forward into a loop. Make ten. |
Step 3 |
Use chain nose pliers to open the bottom loop on the eye pin with the four bicones. Link onto it one of the single bicones on a headpin, made in Step 1. Open the top loop on the same eye pin, to it, link two links of chain and close the loop. Repeat this for all 10. |
Step 4 |
Select another eye pin. Slide onto it one bicone, the top link of the chain from one of the bicone dangles completed in Step 3, one bicone, another dangle, another bicone, another dangle, then end with a bicone. Form another simple loop to close the top of this assembly, Make two. |
Step 5 |
Cut four sections of chain, each 16 links long. Open the loops on each side of the Step 4 eye pin. To each, attach the top link of the Step 3 bicone dangles and one of the 16-link chain segments. Close the loop. Repeat for the second earring. |
Step 6 |
Open a 4mm jump ring. Secure with it the tops of the 16-link chain segments and one ear wire. Repeat for the second earring. |
