christmas banner and clothespins
Step 1 |
First, click here to download and print the template; then cut out the pieces. |
Step 2 |
Trace the light bulb pattern onto an assortment of construction paper for your lights. Cut out the shapes. |
Step 3 |
Trace the rectangles onto black construction paper and cut out the shapes. |
Step 4 |
Glue one of the black rectangles to the flat part of the bulb. Do this for each of your bulbs. |
Step 5 |
ADULT: Punch a hole on each side of the black rectangles attached in Step 4. |
Step 6 |
Thread yarn through the holes to make the light bulb banner. Set your banner aside. |
Step 7 |
Now, paint one clothespin with Cocoa Bean paint for your reindeer and with white paint for your snowman. |
Step 8 |
Trace the antlers onto brown construction paper and cut out the shapes. Glue them to the inside of the open end of the brown clothespin and let dry. |
Step 9 |
Glue wiggle eyes and a red nose cut from construction paper onto the reindeer. Wrap a piece of yarn (or chenille pipe cleaner) around his neck for a scarf. |
Step 10 |
To make the snowman, glue two small pom-poms to either side of the open end of the white clothespin and connect them with a piece of yarn (or chenille pipe cleaner). |
Step 11 |
Glue two wiggle eyes and a triangle/carrot nose cut from orange construction paper onto the snowman. Add a mouth and buttons with a marker. Wrap a piece of yarn (or chenille pipe cleaner) around his neck for a scarf. |
Step 12 |
Clip the clothespins to the banner onto the yarn between the light bulbs. |
