chocolate pinata
Make this surprisingly fun and edible treat for any special occasion!
Step 1 |
In silicone melting pot, microwave chocolate Meltables™ candy at 50% power or defrost setting for one minute. Stir thoroughly in pot. Return to microwave stirring at 30 second intervals until smooth and completely melted. |
Step 2 |
Pour into the top section of mould up to fill line. Gently tap it lightly to remove air bubbles. |
Step 3 |
Insert the plastic middle piece directly into the top mould. |
Step 4 |
Next, add the bottom mould directly into the top mould. Turn the mould over with the bottom mould on a flat surface. Press down until you cover all the edges. |
Step 5 |
Put the mould in the fridge to set, which should be about 15 minutes. |
Step 6 |
Loosen half from the mould by the bottom part of the mould, then the middle plastic piece and then the top mould. |
Step 7 |
Repeat Steps 1-6 for a second half. |
Step 8 |
On a plate, add a bit of water until it covers the surface. Microwave the plate for about 15 seconds or until warm. Remove the water and dry off the plate. |
Step 9 |
Pick up one of the halves and place it edge side down on the plate for a few seconds to melt the edge around the chocolate just a little bit. |
Step 10 |
Then, fill that half with the candy. Melt the edges of the second half on the plate, bring the two halves together and press gently. |
Step 11 |
Allow the pinata to set again by placing back in the refrigerator. |
Step 12 |
When serving hit and break pinata with mallet. |
