ceramic flower brick stitch earrings
Step 1 |
First, cut open a connector ring at its seam and gently twist it enough to slide on a ceramic flower bead, then close twist it closed. Arrange the bead so it covers the cut open seam. |
Step 2 |
Thread a needle on a 36" [91.4 cm] length of braided bead thread. |
Step 3 |
On one side of your ceramic flower bead, brick stitch a mix of twelve amazonite and amber glass 4mm beads around the outside edge of your connector ring. Leave a tail that is about 6" [15.24 cm] long at the beginning. |
Step 4 |
Turn your work and run your thread back through the beads until you get back to the start. |
Step 5 |
Run your needle and thread through the ceramic flower bead and repeat Steps 3-4 on the other side. |
Step 6 |
Run your needle back through the ceramic flower bead. Tie the ends together and add a dab of glue to secure the knot. Trim ends. |
Step 7 |
Carefully open the loop at the bottom of your fishhook ear wire, slide it onto the loop at the top of your large oval ear wire and close the loop. |
Step 8 |
Repeat Steps 1-7 for a second earring. |
