Print Project

Step 1

MEASUREMENTS: Approx 24” [61 cm] deep x 80” [203 cm] wide.
GAUGE: 22 sts and 38 rows = 4” [10 cm] in garter st. Take time to check your gauge.
NOTE: When working in colour block technique, start new colours at appropriate points. To change colours, twist the 2 yarns around each other where they meet on WS to avoid a hole.

Step 2

INSTRUCTIONS:
Cast on 3 sts.
Row 1: (RS). With A, K1. yo. K1. With B, yo. K1. 5 sts.
Row 2: With B, K2. With A, K3.
Row 3: With A, K2. yo. K1. With B, yo. K2. 7 sts.
Row 4: With B, K3. With A, K4.
Row 5: With A, K1. K2tog. yo. K1. PM on last st. With B, yo. K2tog. K1. 7 sts.
Row 6 and WS Rows: With B, knit to marked st. With A, knit to end of row.
Row 7: With A, knit to marked st. yo. K1. With B, yo. Knit to end of row. 9 sts.
Row 9: With A, K1. K2tog. knit to marked st. yo. K1. With B, yo. Knit to last 3 sts. K2tog. K1. 9 sts.
Row 10: As Row 6.
Rep Rows 7 to 10 until work measures approx 24” [61 cm] wide (see diagram), ending on Row 7.
Next Row: (WS). Cast off all B sts. With A, knit to end of row.
With A only, proceed as follows:
Row 1: (RS). With A, K1. K2tog. Knit to last 3 sts. K2tog. K1.
Rows 2 to 5: Knit.
Rep last 5 rows until 6 sts rem, ending on a Row 5.
Next Row: K1. (K2tog) twice. K1. 4 sts.
Next 2 Rows: Knit.
Next Row: (K2tog) twice. 2 sts.
