This project is intended for kids ages 4+. Brrr, it is getting cold! Bring the fun for the cold winter inside with this sparkly Brrrr Winter Sensory Bottle.

Print Project

Step 1

Fill the bottle with warm water to about 1" [2.54 cm] from the top.

Step 2

ADULT: Pour both bottles of glycerin into the warm water. Use a bamboo skewer (or a thin wood dowel) to stir well.

Step 3

Sprinkle as much glitter and sparkle pom-poms as you want inside the bottle.

Step 4

Make two same-size pom-poms from White and Blue Haze yarns.
TIP: To make your pom-poms:

  • Cut a 12" [30.5 cm] piece of yarn. Set aside.
  • Hold the ends of both White and Blue Haze yarns and wrap around your fingers about 20 times.
  • Slide yarn from fingers carefully to keep all wraps in tack. Wrap the 12" [30.5 cm] piece of yarn around the outside, middle and tie a knot so all the wraps are included.
  • Cut through the loops on both sides of the knot to create pom-pom.
  • Trim ends evenly to shape.
Step 5

Twist two glitter pipe cleaners together for a thicker stem. Arch into a rainbow shape.

Step 6

Glue the arched glitter pipe cleaner across the top of the lid.
TIP: For a more secure hold, use hot glue.

Step 7

Glue pom-pom on each side, over the side you attached the glitter pipe cleaner.
TIP: For a more secure hold, use hot glue.

Step 8

Cut several strands of White and Blue Haze yarn, then braid into a scarf. Tie scarf around the bottle. Once you like the placement, add a little glue to hold in place. Let dry.

Step 9

Glue wiggle eyes in place.

Step 10

Add snowflake stickers to outside of the bottle.
