The option for leather cord at my Michael’s
This was the choice offered at my local Michael’s. I prefer a spool of leather because of the added length, but this seems to be strong cord.

Not what needed, broke
Not great. If I pulled, the cord would pop, plus it wasn’t one long piece, it was already cut in the middle. Won’t buy again.

Its not usable. Very hard to work it.
Its not usable. Very hard to work it. Not buying this again. Waste of money. It is not worth it. Plus the skin rubs off so quickly. It smells bad too. Michaels have very bad return policy too. So don't buy this. sorry

Wrong size
Returned this because the 1mm would not thread through 1mm holes. Discovered some of the packages has corrective stickers stating the smaller size was actually 1.3mm, not 1.0mm. Some packages with the exact same cord did not have the disclaimer.

Easy to braid
This is nice leather cording. It is easy to braid for friendship bracelets. I attached decorative metal connectors and made very nice leather bracelets with metal embellishment pieces (encouragement phrases) for the top of the wrist.

Strong and durable leather
I bought this leather cord to make pearl necklaces. Though it is a little thick and its not easy to find pearls drilled for this size of cord, the quality is great. It doesn't break easily, and once worn it softens, just perfect for my project. I highly recommend.

Great!! But..
I loved this leather!! It was strong, thick, and the perfect size for the pearls I bought to go on it. I made about 5 necklaces with the leather, then a couple days later I was about to make some more when I noticed the cord had shrank half its normal size. I thought it would be okay, but when I started using it the leather kept breaking. I had to be extremely careful when tying the knots, but I was able to make a couple more. I'm leaning toward the conclusion that the leather rolled at the top was thick and as I used more of it and got more towards the bottom of the roll, it was smaller from being wound so tightly at the bottom layers.

It works okish
It does allow beads to be made into objects however the cord tends to retain it's shape , need to do extra work to make it work.
