black quartz collar necklace
Step 1 |
Cut a 12" [30.5 cm] piece of transite. |
Step 2 |
Tie a closed jump ring to one end. Add a dab of glue to the knot. |
Step 3 |
Slide on a Gold agate bead. Push the bead to the end so it is flush against the jump ring. Tuck the excess transite inside this bead. |
Step 4 |
Add a dab of glue to the knot formed in Step 2 and use the nozzle on the tube of glue to push some additional glue inside the Gold agate bead for a more secure hold. |
Step 5 |
Add about 4½" [11.4 cm] of quartz chip beads to the transite followed by another Gold agate bead. |
Step 6 |
Tie a jump ring onto the transite so it is flush against the last bead added. Repeat Step 4 for this end. Let all glue dry. |
Step 7 |
Cut two 5" [12.7 cm] pieces of chain. |
Step 8 |
Carefully open the jump ring on one end of your beaded transite, slide on the last link from one chain piece and close the jump ring. Repeat on the other end. |
Step 9 |
Finally, on the open end of each chain, add a jump ring; however, on one of the jump rings, include a lobster clasp. Share your project photos with #MakeItWithMichaels |
