handmade paper christmas card
This easy, but pretty poinsettia card is sure to please any recipient and a gold embossed greeting on handmade paper lends a special touch.
Step 1 |
Cut red cardstock to 8" x 5¼" [20.4 cm x 13.3 cm] and score and fold in half. |
Step 2 |
Cut a piece of the poinsettia plaid paper to 3¾" x 5" [9.5 cm x 12.7 cm] and adhere to the front of the card. |
Step 3 |
To make the belly band from the handmade paper, cut a strip 2" x 8½" [5 cm x 21.6 cm]. |
Step 4 |
Find the middle of the strip and stamp the greeting with embossing ink, then sprinkle Gold embossing powder over the stamped image. Tap off the excess. Now, heat with your heat tool until the powder melts and shiny. |
Step 5 |
Wrap the band around your card and secure at the back with adhesive. |
