disco ball holiday card
This sparkly disco ball card is sure to delight! Using rhinestones to create the disco ball adds a sparkly effect to your card.
Step 1 |
Cut pink glitter cardstock to 16" x 7" [40.6 cm x 19 cm]. Measure in 8" [20.3 cm] from the left and score. Fold along the score line. |
Step 2 |
Cut a 4" x 3½" [10.5 cm x 8.8 cm] piece of bright plaid cardstock and adhere to the front. |
Step 3 |
Next, cut a 6" x 4" [15.2 cm x 10.2 cm] piece of teal cardstock. |
Step 4 |
Adhere the 6" x 4" [15.2 cm x 10.2 cm] section to the middle of the card with the folded edge lining up with the right edge of the card in the middle vertically. Close the flap. |
Step 5 |
Now, cut a circle piece of Silver cardstock and adhere to the front of the teal cardstock flap. |
Step 6 |
Draw lines of equal distance across the silver foil cardstock with the fine white paint pen. |
Step 7 |
Pull the medium size sequins out of the package and glue them to the circle (inside of the squares created) to make your disco ball. Let dry. |
Step 8 |
Cut out a star and glue to the top of the rhinestones in the top right corner of the disco ball. |
Step 9 |
Push an eyepin through the top middle of your plaid cardstock with an eyepin until the loop is flush with the front of the cardstock, Bend the excess down in the back and secure with a dot of glue. Let dry. |
Step 10 |
Measure 1" [2.5 cm] of chain and cut with mini side cutter. |
Step 11 |
Carefully open the loop on your eye pin with your round nose pliers, slide one end of your chain and then close the loop. |
Step 12 |
Use an eyepin to pierce a small hole into the top middle of the disco ball. Carefully open the loop on your chain with your round nose pliers, slide the other end of your chain and then close the loop. For extra hold, apply glue. Let dry. |
Step 13 |
Open the flap, then stamp your sentiment on the inside of the flap using embossing ink. Sprinkle with embossing powder, tap off the excess and heat it with the heat tool. The powder will melt into a shiny, dimensional greeting. |
