Fold one piece of origami paper in half, so the design is on the outside (See Fig 1).

Open the paper and fold the bottom up to the centre fold (See Fig 2).

Fold the top down to the centre fold to make a rectangle with a slit through the middle (See Fig 3).

Fold the rectangle in half horizontally to make a square (See Fig 4).

Open the square back up to a rectangle (See Fig 5).

Fold the top right corner down to meet the centre fold line you just created (See Fig 6).

Fold the bottom left corner up to meet the centre fold line on the other side (See Fig 7).

Open the last two folds. You will see two triangles in the corners (See Fig 8).

Reverse each triangle fold and tuck in the flaps (See Fig 9).

Tuck the top right corner down under the bottom rectangle lip (See Fig 10).

Tuck the bottom left corner up under the top lip. This is like closing a cardboard box (See Fig 11).

Flip the piece over and the shape will be smooth with no fold lines (See Fig 12).

Take one of the points and fold it back to the fold line (See Fig 13).

Take the other point and fold it to the fold line creating a square shape (See Fig 14).

This is one unit shape. Create six to form a cube. Create 12 to form a stellated octahedron. Create 30 to form a stellated icosahedron.
