What’s the price for a party?
$299 CAN for 8 kids. Extra kids are $30 each up to a maximum of 12. There will also be add-ons such as balloons available. ***Not available in QC.
Do you make anything at the party?
Yes, kids will make 3 crafts, one wearable item, one sensory item, and one hero project to be proud of.
How long is a party?
Two hours, one hour is for crafts, and the other hour is for food and presents.
Can I come early?
You can come 15 minutes early for set up.
Can I bring food and drinks?
Yes, you can bring any food or drinks you like, please just note we do not have any refrigeration or freezer services available.
What decorations do you provide?
We provide craft paper for all the tables, as well as plates, napkins, cutlery, cups, and birthday hats for all the participants. You can also add additional items when booking your party such as balloons.
Can I bring my own decorations?
Yes, you can bring streamers, balloons, and anything to decorate chairs and tables. You may not hang anything from the walls or ceilings or use anything overly messy such as confetti or silly string.
I need to cancel my booking, how do I do that?
You can cancel the booking yourself up to 7 days prior. Within 7 days no refunds will be given. See terms and conditions for full details.
I need to update the amount of kids coming to the party, how do I do that?
You can add additional kids to the booking yourself up to 7 days prior. Stores can ring up additional kids at the register if more show up than expected.
Do parents need to stay in the classroom?
The birthday parent/guardian MUST stay in the classroom at all times, but other parents may leave but must stay in the building.
What are the host parent/guardian responsibilities during party?
The host parent/guardian must stay in the classroom for the entire party, and is responsible for the following:
- Greeting guests, collecting completed waivers for each child, and providing those waivers to the Michaels Party Captain.
- Ensuring parents/ guardians complete the sign in sheet with a contact number
- Serving all food and beverages
- Opening presents, conducting games, and handing out goody bags or any other party favor
- Notifying the parents/guardians of allergens that may be present at the party including, but not limited to latex and food allergens.
- Arranging for another parent/ guardian to escort a child if the child needs to leave the classroom for any reason (such as going to the bathroom, etc.)
- Ensure each party guest is picked up by an authorized adult prior to leaving the store after the party.
Q: What happens if a child comes to the party without a waiver?
A: As the host parent/guardian, you must ensure that an authorized adult signs a waiver for each party participant.
Q: What happens if a child needs to go to the bathroom?
A. As the host parent/guardian, you will make the arrangements for another parent to take the child to the bathroom. A Michaels Team Member is never permitted to take a child to the bathroom.
Q: Does Michaels have an allergen free classroom?
A. While Michaels does clean the classroom in between parties, we can’t guarantee that a previous party didn’t have products containing common allergens. For example, a prior party might have had latex balloons or food containing nuts. The host parent/guardian should be aware of any allergies and make the appropriate parents aware of the potential risk.
Q. What happens if a child is not picked up after the party?
A. As the host parent/guardian you are required to remain on premises until all party guests have been picked up by a responsible adult. If a parent, guardian or authorized representative has not arrived within 10 minutes of the conclusion of the party to pick up their child, then we will ask you to call the parent/guardian/authorized representative. If the parent, guardian or their authorized representative has not picked-up the child within 30-minutes of the conclusion of the party, store personnel will contact law enforcement to ensure the safety of the child.
Q. Will there be balloons in the classroom?
A. Balloons are an add-on option. You may choose to purchase either latex or mylar balloons. If you chose latex balloons, please ensure no one attending your party is allergic to latex.
