Great pigmentation for less
I'm brand new at pastels, so I wanted to try a less expensive set to be sure I wanted to use them along with other mediums. I was not disappointed. They have solid, beautiful pigments and when I finally found some aquanet to use a fixative, it stayed in place very well with no smears. I don't even see any need to move up to more expensive sets or brands. I like this one just fine.

Not enough pigment, rather hard for "soft" pastels
These pastel sticks don't have much pigment as you will find in the more expensive brands like Unison and Rembrandt, but are ok for the beginner pastelist and for some small detail work.
