Lush Alpaca™ Yarn By Loops & Threads® is rated 3.4 out of 5 by 42.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Beware of loose fibers Soft yarn, beautiful colors but I had to stop using it almost immediately due to the pieces of fiber that came off of it. They got in my eyes and nose making me itch and sneeze ... fortunately I had only bought one skein to try it and it wound up in the garbage

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Okay, at best The Loops and Threads Waterford Big was so much better.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Exactly what I needed I lost my winter hat and decided to make one using a round knitting loom. I used the Lush Alpaca yarn in Dark Green. The yarn was a good thickness and was easy to work with. It had just enough stretch to move easily off the pins. The finished hat is thick cozy warm and so soft. I have made two so far and have requests from family to make them hats too.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor quality Color selection is fantastic but the quality of the yarn is terrible. There is only 20% alpaca in the yarn and it all falls out...on you. It holds onto none of its natural fibers and you end up looking like you just had a snuggle session with a dog during shedding season. Multiple skeins were also cut and tied throughout which made my finished product have showing ends where there shouldn’t have been.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Feels soft but pills SOOO MUCH Soo much of the alpaca hair falls out that its so hard to work with, I need to vacuum after this. It came with a funny smell and it kept pilling so I thought it cant be worse if I wash it and use my drying machine. Came out good without the smell and got rid of some falling wool. I ended up pulling out as much of the white pieces falling out (shown in picture) so it wouldnt bother me as much in the long run. Its a very very soft wool but too much hassle to work with, I rather buy something else from Michaels.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good Beginner Yarn, Poor Longevity I really enjoy the pastel colour selection available for these yarns. They’re chunky and knit up nicely, but like other reviewers said the major con with this yarn is SHEDDING. The yarn sheds a bunch, and you’ll find little white fibres all over the place when you’re done. It’s a good beginner yarn for when you want to test out patterns, but not a super high quality yarn if you want your piece to last a lifetime.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Resulted in Contact dermatitis I made a beautiful scarf using 3 skeins of the rose coloured yarn and was super excited to wear it. Started out a bit itchy -which I thought was likely just due to the loose fibres - , but a couple of hours later, I take off my scarf and notice that my neck is completely inflamed. I know I'm not allergic to alpaca or acrylic (I have various sweaters made with these fibres), so I would assume that it's the chemicals that were used to process the yarn. Definitely suggest washing anything you make with this before wearing it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Was excited now mad This yarn felt soft and warm but the balls are so tangled when you unravel them. Also, tons of the white hairs just get everywhere. When fully knit, it doesn't feel soft at all, just stiff and sheds hair.
