loops & threads® crème cotton™ braided chain bracelet
Step 1 |
Leave about 6" [15.2 cm] of yarn to start and make a chain that measures about 15" [38.1 cm]. Go ahead and cut from the skein but leave a tail in case you need to add length. Repeat two more times for a total of three chain strands. |
Step 2 |
Lay all three chain strands so they are parallel to each other and the tops are aligned. Arrange so they are vertical to you and tape the starting tail at the top to your working surface. |
Step 3 |
Braid your chain strands to desired length. |
Step 4 |
Tie the ends together in an overhand knot. |
Step 5 |
Remove the tape and tie an overhand knot just above the starting chains. |
Step 6 |
Arrange your braided chains in a circle and overlap the tails. |
Step 7 |
Tie the middle of a length of yarn around the overlapped tails, then add about five square knots for a sliding closure. Trim ends and add a dab of glue to secure. Let dry. |
Step 8 |
Use a collapsible needle to add beads to each of the tails, trim to desired length and tie knots in the yarn ends. |
