Disappointed/annoyed!
I am disappointed with this yarn. I have used and loved lion brand products before and I bought this because I am working on a project as a donation for a rescue to raise money. Hat, scarf, gloves and just wanted everything to match. The first part of the skein was fine. The deeper I get into the skein, the inconsistency is driving me CRAZY! Some parts are wound way too tight, some not enough at all. Thin, to bulky to way too thin. I'm wondering if I should just keep going or not. Hopefully it wont be too noticeable. But also, there is a knot with an abrupt color change. I saw it in someone else's review. I wanted to make sure I wasn't the only one experiencing this. I already discontinued the hat twice bc of the inconsistency and that abrupt color change. This is in no way a bad review for Michael's, just be warned of this yarn!

Not just for scarfs
Mixed two blue color ways together and crocheted a C2C waffle stitch and it’s beautiful and very cozy!

Not bulky at all
This yarn is thin. I had to use 2 strands to make a winter scarf. It is also not soft as described.

Newer skeins have knots with abrupt color changes
I used to love this yarn, but I'm terribly disappointed with the quality lately. If my last 3 skeins, 2 had knots where the new color didn't match the old. This completely ruins the ombre effect! And you may have already spent a bunch of time working the project before you get to the knot. This makes me hesitant to buy yarn from this manufacturer in the future.

Gorgeous for cabled blanket
This yarn is fab to knit with and feels so soft and warm. Unfortunately I am short ONE skein of the cream/silver and there is no Michaels store that has it in stock. Zero disappointment with the yarn, but very disappointed I cannot find my LAST skein.

Not a bulky weight
It is more like a worsted weight, with some thicker and some quite thin spots. It is fairly soft to crochet, but it doesnt hold it’s shape well and over time goes quite limp and stretches out, in other words, don’t use for a hat! Not easy to pull back if you make a mistake as it sticks.

Lovely to knit with
I really like this wool. The colours are very nice and it’s easy to knit with. I have been using it for hats, fingerless gloves. Not scarves yet but I would.
