imperial jasper statement necklace
Step 1 |
First, cut about 6" [15.24 cm] of wire. |
Step 2 |
Slide one end of the wire through the holes in an Imperial Jasper stone until you have about ¾" [1.91 cm] sticking out of the other side. |
Step 3 |
Bend both sides of the wire towards the top as close to the stone as you can to form a triangle shape. Bend the shorter side across the top so it crosses the longer wire. Wrap the shorter end of the wire around the longer wire at the top of the stone. Trim excess of the shorter wire with side cutters as close to the wire as possible. Point the longer wire so it is pointing straight up from the stone. |
Step 4 |
Add a faceted bead onto the longer wire that is pointing from the top of the stone. To form the wire-wrapped loop at the top of the faceted bead, grasp the wire about ½" [1.27 cm] from one end with round nose pliers. This time at the top, make a loop and wrap the excess wire below the loop. Trim excess wire as you did in Step 3. |
Step 5 |
Repeat Steps 1-4 for a second pendant. |
Step 6 |
Use the same technique to add a wire triangle with a wire wrapped loop at the top of two more Imperial Jasper stones. |
Step 7 |
Make bead dangles with a large faceted bead and six smaller faceted beads. For this, simply tread the bead onto headpin, then make a wire wrapped lop at the top. |
Step 8 |
Cut a 26" [66.04 cm] length of chain. Carefully open the link at one end, slide in the link from the other end and close the link. |
Step 9 |
Add all the stone and faceted bead dangles evenly along the centre of the chain. |
