An artist's best friend, this double-ended art marker delivers rich colour saturation and silky smooth coverage every time. Featuring an advanced alcohol- and dye-based ink formulation and a single ink source, the duality of brush and fine tips ensure colour consistency and multiple line variations in one marker -- the fine point lays down sharp lines while the brush is designed for creating thick, thin or varied lines in one stroke. Expensive but worth it!
I received a set of Prismacolor markers as a Christmas gift over ten years ago. I stopped doing artwork shortly after, and the markers were tucked away and eventually put in storage. This week I pulled them out again in order to use with my new Querkle book (a color-by-number coloring book). Surprisingly, the markers still worked perfectly.
Because these markers are quite expensive, I decided to buy a set of 72 Staedler brand markers to use instead. After one use, I've decided to return them. The tips are hard and scratchy and the finish product looks messy and streaky (you can see every single stroke and the places where the strokes overlap are dark and extremely obvious). I guess there's a reason the Prismacolors are more expensive--they glide on smoothly and the ink somehow blends together so that individual strokes are not obvious. 10/10 would buy again.
