I Love this yarn. Til it came out, my favorite yarn was Bernat Blanket yarn. I've knitted a couple 14" throw pillows in of couple colors. Each one was pure joy to work with, & I have yarn to make 4 "more" different colored throw pillows

Using a pattern from Yarnspirations Crochet Big Basketweave Blanket, created for this yarn. It takes 13 skeins of yarn. You really have to watch your stitches because they are hard to see. It is a heavy soft texture blanket. Color Antler. Planning on washing it before giving as a gift.

Amazing texture, lots of shedding
I'm hoping the blanket I'm making won't just be a pile of strings and fluff, once it's finished! The weight and texture are gorgeous, so fingers crossed.

Can be finicky
I did two knitting projects with this product, both simple blankets.
This product [obviously] does knit up very soft and ended up being heavier than I originally anticipated. So be careful, this blanket material may be a bit warmer than you think. The product does shed, there was a fine coat of velvet remnant in the knitting area but I have not noticed any of the final knitted blankets leaving velvet when in use (and I have slept and used the blankets for a number of weeks).
Knitting project 1, a larger blanket intended for general use, ~60x70, 100 cast on, used about 10 skeins. Knitted with 60" circular needles, size US13/9mm. I chose the needle size based on swatches I did, and liked the consistency. The blanket was quite nice, until I machined washed it and then a number of loose 'loops' manifested and a couple of small mistakes I had made become point sources of unraveling yarn. There was also a considerable 'flaring' on either end on the blanket, making an hourglass-like shape, either end was about 5 inches wider than the center.
The blanket is still usable, but obviously not up to standards, I plan on making another one to replace it.
Knitting project 2, almost didn't happen, I almost took all the yarn back but I really liked the material, so I decided I would use a smaller needle size to make a tighter knit. Oversized stroller blanket/Toddler blanket, 100 cast on, used about 6 skeins, knitted with 40" circular US11/8mm. The swatch I made with this size needle had a significantly tighter knit and I hoped that would make the difference. The blanket knitted up quite nice, quite a bit heavier than the first one (on account of the tighter knit from the smaller needles) and came out to a 50x40 size. Then I machined wash (I always want my blankets to survive a machine wash) and the knit held, no defects... except for the warp in dimensions. The blankets was 50x40 before wash, but after wash it was 58x33, grumble.
I am a novice knitter, my patterns are simple flat patterns so I generally choose thick and luxurious materials to compensate for the simple patterns. I may have performed a number of careless or naive mistakes, but I hope this information can be helpful to anyone deciding to use this material. It's worth it in many regards, but both projects didn't turn out as expected. Once I can get more material I plan on remaking the first project using information from the second project to guide me.

Luxe but defective!
I bought 8 balls of this to make my daughter a blanket. It is absolutely gorgeous. BUT 45 mins into knitting I looked down and my pants were covered in bits and pieces of the yarn. It’s all going back to Michael’s.

One problem
Feels great and looks great. Sheds like crazy and can only be hand washed otherwise you’ll lose your work. Wish I didn’t buy it.
