Major disappointment.
My blanket is ruined. i don’t know what happen. I made a baby blanket with one of the projects listed. I did notice that it was easy to pull the ‘fluff” of the yarn off. But instructions said it could be washed. So after i finished the baby blanket , which was a gift for a friend, the baby velvet came undone! It didn’t even break. Just all pulled out in loops! I can’t tell you how hard this is going to be to undue everything to fix this! I am so disappointed.

Doesn’t wash well
I’ll never buy this yarn again. It’s easy enough to work with but is very tricky if you have to do any frogging. I’m glad I washed the blanket I made before giving it as a gift, because a single washing, on delicate, completely ruined it!

Super soft but looks like a rag after washing on delicate! All that work for nothing! I wouldn’t give this to someone with a new puppy let alone a baby!

So soft. I love to work with Bernat bBaby Velvet
Sometimes it is a challenge to start pulling from the center but I’m careful not to pull tight causing it to knot. With patience it always comes undone. As to the loop problem I check often for times I let my tension slip and work the loops out as I go. Love it for Tunisian Crochet. Blocking also eases loops. It’s worth the extra care when using it. It feels so soft for my arthritic hands. Remember you get what you pay for. Though not cheap but worth the price for a softer more lovely result. I would also like some brighter colors.

Great yarn
I also had trouble finding the end of the yarn to start my project. As for knots, I pulled the blockage almost all the way out of the center then used my fingers like a claw and gently shook and separated the blockage. Took less than 10 seconds and it works like a dream. I work with it as it is in the wrapper no rewinding into a ball.

My favorite yarn!
I’m using up my massive stash of yarn and came across a number of skeins of this brand. I LOVE it! So soft, pretty colors that match well together, and has none of the chemicals I often react to (bad rash on my arms, painful itch all over my body, sinus issues), so yay! I only gave it four stars because I agree that finding the end can be a serious pain in the a**, I’ve also literally spent hours trying to untangle a skein and get it into a manageable ball.
That said, I love it so much I am ordering a lot more, even though I haven’t finished off the old yarn I had promised myself I would use up. ;-D
