Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't waste your time or money I bought this Rit dye in the liquid form in the colour Indigo to dye my blue outdoor sectional cushions blue again whete they had faded in the sun. I had 7 pieces of cushion covers. They weighed 10 lbs dry. The bottle said 2 lbs of cloth for a half a bottle so I bought 5 bottles. Each half a bottle needed 3gallons of water. I made a huge pot of water, enough for 2 5 bottles of RIT. I added salt, vinegar and soap like it said. I followed all instructions. I soaked half the covers, 4 of them for 30 minutes. They lighter parts did not dryer as I hoped so I added 2.5 more bottles of dye...so I doubled up on dye and left them in for 1 hr I stead of 30 minutes. I stirred constantly. In the end after all was said and done, the cushions covers are no more dyed than they were before. I risked my clothing, my white cupboards, my counter top, backslash and sink trying to soak these, drain them, rinse them and then get rid of the large pot of dye and in the end I had no improvement from the RIT dye. It was a massive waste of time. I would rather buy a new sectional then do that ever again. I don't usually do reviews but I wanted to save someone else the frustration I felt today. Rated 2 out of 5 by from Unpredictable turnout I have bought this dye many times and generally the colour turns out well but the last couple times have been such a disappointment. I just bought the wine colour and it turned out hot pink. I have bought the fuchsia before and when I put the two side by side they were identical. I followed all the instructions and it was good cotton fabric too so there was nothing wrong on my part. its just not a good dye

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Works alright. Definitely have to leave product in longer than the package says. I put it in my top load washing machine on the hottest longest cycle possible set my timer on my phone for 15 minutes go down shut it off set turn it around set it again and I do this it continually until I get the colour a little bit darker than what I think I want. Keep in mind some synthetic fabrics just won't dye well with this dye.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product I dyed 2 pairs of jeans from blue to black so I could wear them to work. Both turned out beautiful. I've only since washed them once but no bleeding. This is the first time I've used the liquid and I did it in the washing machine with the recommended 1 cup of salt. Beautiful results

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Failure even though I followed every step I follow all the steps properly for my blanket, I bought the bright orange colour. Turned out a dark red/brown and my blanket looks like its just covered in dried blood. It didn’t properly colour all the way through either I have huge patches of dried blood colours and then really pale reds it does not look good at all.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful colour! Great for all kinds of projects! I used the Emerald colour on many projects now and I'm amazed every time! My last project I used the rit colour stay fixative on-top of the Emerald and it turned out even better with zero bleeding. I used the dyes on a 50% Cotton, 50% polyester hoodie and it turned out great!
