Bad yarn
I agree have made alot of blankets and the yarn is so different ,thick ,then flat,it doesn't matter what color.1skein I had 3 ties in a row.but I keep buying it

Often disappointing
Mixed feelings about it because sometimes it's great and othertimes the yarn is super thin in some places and because of that it messes with the gauge. Currently very dissatisfied but hoping it gets better.

A wonderful blanket yarn!!
First time using a blanket yarn and was very pleased with this product. Designed and knit this afghan for my teenage, granddaughter. Very soft and shows stitch definition well. I will definitely be purchasing more when it goes on sale again.

Beware of Bernat Blanket in Black
So, first I’d like to say that up untill an order I placed in December, every single colour of this yarn was 100% amazing in quality. Then in that Dec order I got 12 balls in black & every single one was horrible…it was thin & flat & nowhere near the beautiful plush yarn that I’m used to & ive made at least 20 blankets using this yarn. Now I only get the black colour from the store & still have to scour the racks to find skeins that are the normal plushness of the other colours. Hope Bernat & Michaels can fix this issue soon…I have blankets I need to make!!!

Soft yarn, yes. I bought 3 skeins for a baby blanket. 2 of them were bits and pieces tied together, and halfway through I started seeing dirt stains. Disgusting!! Bernat should be ashamed. Poor quality control on their part!

Quality has gone downhill
I recently ordered about a dozen balls of Bernat Blanket Yarn. The 3 balls of the color Coal are terrible! Extremely thin compared to ones I bought in the past (and even compared to the other colors I received). In addition, it had a very weird (gross) smell and felt awful to the touch. It wasn't soft and squeaked on my crochet hook. This is some expensive yarn and the quality has diminished. I am so disappointed because I love blankets made with this yarn, but if it continues to be inferior, I will have to find something else to use.
