Coats & Clark XP thread
Just picked up my sewing machine from the repair shop because it appeared that the bobbin area had clutched up and stopped the machine. He told me that he is having many machines coming in with the bobbin mechanism messed up because of the XP thread. It’s thicker than Coats & Clark used to make and the darker colors are the worst because the dye process to get the darkest colors thicken the thread more. I had noticed that when I used twin needles that after I removed the extra spool of thread, it was stripped and I had to cut off all the thread above the stripped part. You can’t tell on the label if it’s XP because the bar code covers that part of the label.

Love the thread!
Great to work with - I am a beginner using a Jancome sewing machine.

Holding up great!
I made a weighted blanket and the thread is stronger than I thought! It glided well through the minky and cotton material I was using! The color was perfect against the material!

Great for my quilts
I used this thread to finish my daughters unicorn quilt. It was the perfect color, and worked great with my sewing machine. I'm new to quilting, and when I did my son's I used a different kind that kept jamming and breaking. This thread worked with ease, and her quilt looks adorable.

Disappointed in quality
I am a fan of Coats and Clark products, but the overall quality of this thread was poor. Kept breaking.

Excellent Thread
I've resumed embroidery again after a long time, so I needed to purchase some supplies. I purchased this thread for the purpose of basting the edges of projects, to prevent the edges from fraying and unraveling. For this purpose, it works well.
