Krylon® Short Cuts® Gloss Enamel is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 94.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Can't go wrong with Chrome and Gold leaf I work in the toy industry and spend a lot of time painting prototypes. Gold is notoriously difficult to work with in water base form. I use the shortcuts gold leaf as a base color and tint as needed with an overspray. The Chrome is essentially silver. They go on in nearly one coat, dry nicely, and look great. As for the other colors, I've never used them, but I know that the plastic cap color never matches the actual paint. Here are some tips for anyone who is interested. Primer the surface white first if you want the colors to be brightest, spraying on dark surfaces causes the color to dull. Sand the surfaces of smooth/glossy objects before painting them. The paint will adhere better and is less likely to chip off. Don't spray too much on the first pass. Spraying too much at once will case drips, do a pass, let it dry and do a second coat. Don't hold down the nozzle the entire time, spray in short bursts (and not too close), this helps you disribute paint evenly and avoid drips. Happy painting!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Do not use on Polystyrene Put Styrofoam on my outside vents of the house, and didn't want to leave them white. I knew spray paint would melt Styrofoam, so researched and found Short Cuts. Says you can use on Styrofoam. Melted my expanded polystyrene I used. So I guess Styrofoam and polystyrene is not the same.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Actually astounded with results My purpose in using Krylon Short Cuts is painting models. I have used various model spray paints that have produced uneven results of success. I was reluctant to try Short Cuts, but have found it performs with (pun or no pun intended) FLYING COLORS! I don't get the "orange peel" effect as I often experience with other products sometimes. In my case, I use a light coat of primer on bare metal, and then as recommended, light coats passing over the object, respraying after it dries if necessary. And of course temperature / humidity are important considerations, as neither extremes are conducive to attaining acceptable results. The success I have experienced with Short Cuts prompted me to write a review as I want to share what had been a secret to me for so long.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Colour not as expected I bout the red and yellow which were nice enough. The orange was like a neon orange but was hoping for a nice sunny orange. Not sure that I’ll buy again without confirmation of colour.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Paint for Foam! I went looking for a foam safe paint and this is the one that made the grade! I tested it on a separate piece of foam before I painted my plane and it worked great!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Color doesn't match selection and blisters Unfortunately, the Espresso color turned out to be more like milk chocolate and the paint left small blister on the metal surface. Will have to clean and paint again using another product.
