Poor construction
Usually metal is more durable, but these are very cheaply made. They have small dents, some of the metal is slightly torn so it snags them yarn, and now I see one is bent! I don’t think it was originally bent, so I’m thinking it may have happened as I was knitting. As soon as I can I’m getting some better replacements. Could just be a batch flaw, but I don’t think I’d buy these needles again.

Terrible product
The colorful stain on the needles came off on my off-white cotton yarn while I was knitting, and I had to undo a whole portion of a sweater sleeve. Absolutely unacceptable. Is there no testing and quality control at this company? Michael’s should not carry this brand.

Poor quality, paint colour scraping off
These needles are disappointing. The scraped paint makes knitting rough. I wish Michaels could invest in good quality materials and yarns.

This product is poor quality
I ordered the DPNs because I needed them for a project. I placed the order online and picked them up in store. I opened them once I got home 2 needles were damaged straight out of the packaging. I tried to use the needles that were not damaged. Whatever coating is on the needles comes off very easily. It started to peel within about 2 to 3 hours of use. After it started coming off the needles snagged my yarn. I had to transfer to another set of needles. I would not recommend this product to anyone. I wish the Loops and Threads team would read customer reviews and address our concerns. Maybe if someone at Loops and Threads tested this product more during development they could understand the issues that are being described. I’m just disappointed because I could not use the needles and the nearest Michaels is across town from where I live. I don’t think it’s fair that customers have to be inconvenienced by either losing their money or going out of their way to return a product. Please try to do better Loops and Threads your customers would really appreciate it.

Poor quality
I have these in a few sizes. Several needles came with dents and burrs. The ones with dents are somewhat usable but the ones with burrs are not. Very poor quality.

Great DPNs!
Never thought I'd have the patience to knit with size 1 needles, but these are great to work with & I love the copper colour. I usually knit with cooler coloured yarns, and the tiny stitches are much easier to see than other tiny needles I've tried. Ordering 2 more sets as a backup :)

Disappointed
Wish that Michaels carried Bates or Boye needles. I have bought several packs of the Loops and Threads in size 1 and 2 for socks and at least one needle in each pack was unusable due to burs and rough edges on the needles and I'm a five needle sock knitter. Very disappointed and have resorted to buying a better needle elsewhere.

Poorer Quality
The old Boye needles were very smooth and pleasant to work with. These ones were rougher and grated against each other. All of the Loops and Threads needles seem to be more matte and less shiny, and I'm not a fan of that finish. For those of us who like metal needles, slipperyness is an advantage not a hindrance and these just don't fit the bill.
