Description

The best Matt varnish to buy!
This product is easy to apply, allows for a consistently even coating of protection to finish a painting. Clean up is simple, and I find it affordable. It’s my go to for my acrylic paintings, collages, and mixed media works.

Protect your works of art!
I swear by this stuff! I use it to seal magazine pictures in scrapbooks to protect (as much as you can) against spills. I use it over stained and painted wood crafts so when it’s time to wipe off the dust and grime, I don’t damage the finish. It’s not as stinky as polyurethane and it washes up with soap and water.

Matte varnish
This varnish is great. I was using a glossy type prior but someone told to try the matte version for my paintings. Makes it so much better, especially when I need to take pictures of them without the glare. More professional.

Hasn't worked for me (yet)
This might be because of user error or this was just a bad bottle, but the painted wood I used this varnish on ended up not being matte at all. I recommend using very thin coats, this is likely where I messed up.

Liquitex Matte Varnish over Mixed Media
Works great when applied over mixed media on artist canvas. It doesn't show at all, which is what I wanted.
