holiday gift card holder
Step 1 |
First, click here to download and print the folding directions. |
Step 2 |
Cut a piece of scrapbook paper down to 9" x 9" [22.86 cm x 22.86 cm]. |
Step 3 |
Fold the paper in half, then open it back up with the wrong side facing up. |
Step 4 |
Fold the left and right edges in to meet the middle fold. |
Step 5 |
Open the paper out again. Now, fold each of the four corners in to meet the nearest crease. |
Step 6 |
Fold the right and left flaps in to meet at the centre crease. |
Step 7 |
Turn the paper over, then fold the bottom up so the diagonal edges (the "V") meet at the fold. You will see a triangle in the middle of your fold. |
Step 8 |
Next, fold the top down same way and tuck it inside the bottom edge. You will want them to overlap slightly. |
Step 9 |
If desired, cut a piece of contrasting scrapbook paper to fit inside the gift card holder in place of the plain white side of the paper. Fold in half and tuck in your gift card. |
Step 10 |
Cut a piece of black cardstock 1" x 5" [2.54 cm x 12.7 cm] and wrap vertically around the closed holder to make a belly band that you can slide off. Secure the ends of the band using the tape runner. |
Step 11 |
Stamp an image on the bottom right corner of the gift card holder using the embossing ink. Now, sprinkle it with white embossing powder. Tap off the excess, then heat using the heat tool until the embossing powder is melted and the image is embossed. |
Step 12 |
Add a wreath sticker to the band, then make a tag if desired. |
