octagon tile and seed bead bracelet
Step 1 |
Measure and cut 20" [50.8 cm] of nylon thread, then add a beading needle to each end. |
Step 2 |
Add one of the loops on a double loop closure piece to the thread and slide it to the middle of the thread. |
Step 3 |
Add two seed beads to each end. |
Step 4 |
Push one needle through the parallel holes in your octagon tile bead and the other needle through the other two parallel holes. Slide the tile bead down to sit on top of the seed beads. |
Step 5 |
Add two more seed beads to each side. |
Step 6 |
Now, hold the needles together and add five square metal beads. Alternate how you add them so they stack in opposite directions, as shown. |
Step 7 |
Separate your needles, then repeat Steps 3-6 until your bracelet measures about 6¼" [15.9 cm] long (or desired length). |
Step 8 |
Thread your needles through the loop at the bottom of the hook piece of your closure, in opposite directions, then run your needles through the last two seed beads added. Continue to run your needle through the first holes on the last octagon bead added. |
Step 9 |
Turn your bracelet over so the open side of the tile beads are facing up and tie a double knot or two on the thread. Run your needles around the seed beads and loop at the bottom of your hook until you get back to the open back-side of the tile bead. Two more double knots. |
Step 10 |
Remove the needles and add a generous about of glue to the knots and let dry. Cut excess thread. |
